The Chevrolet Venture Minivan The Perfect Family Van For Travel Or Pleasure
Long gone are the days I used to desire supercars and sports cars. While that was only ever a fantasy I indulged in, I did manage to go on some Audi experience days at the local Oulton Park circuit to sate my appetite for fast cars.
Time’s moved on and now I have my family to consider. So we bought a Chevrolet Venture Mini-Van after much research and consideration. Our pre-requisites included reliability, seating, storage capacity, and cost. The van that we chose was a certified low mileage vehicle. We bought it at a dealership that sells certified used vehicles. Our van had 29,000 miles and was one year old. It seats 8, has lots of storage capacity, including a roof rack, was listed as a very reliable vehicle in the reviews, and the cost was right.
We have owned it for 8 years now and it has over 165,000 miles. It has been a very reliable vehicle. The only major repair that we have had to make on it besides regular maintenance was a transmission at 162,000 miles. It served us really well allowing us to spread our kids out when they were young, take friends along, and go on vacations with lot’s of luggage. It has sliding doors on both sides and the seats are really easy to fold down or take out so it is very versatile. We like it so much we are going to buy another one or a similar one when it finally wears out.
